Frequently Asked Questions
DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?
Yes; I accept CareOregon insurance, and I am able to take on new clients at this time.
Per the changes to CareOregon’s insurance policies, in order to continue seeing me beyond July, all of my new and existing CareOregon clients will need to transfer over their the group practice I’m employed at, Dian’s Well Counseling. I will start building my caseload at DWC in March, with transfers happening slowly over the several months ahead. Onboarding with me now will prioritize your access to me upon transfer; otherwise, if you contact DWC directly, you will be placed on my waitlist there.
Debuted on 12/5/24, the new CareOregon policy stipulates that current clients may continue to be seen until July of 2025, at which time their ability to be treated by Associates in private practice would stop. More information about this policy change is available here.
For all other insurance carriers, I am an out of network provider. While I do not bill other insurance providers directly, I am able to provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for your reimbursement, should your plan allow. I encourage you to check with your insurance prior to starting therapy to see what your plan allows.

WHAT IS NEURODIVERSITY-AFFIRMATIVE THERAPY?
Neurodiversity-affirmative therapy is rooted in the belief that variations in how our brains work is a normal part of the human experience. The way our brains work is not a deficit, problems arise when our environments aren't set up to meet our needs or when we are expected to use neurotypical solutions for neurodivergent problems.
The goal isn't to change how our brains work, but to create an environment that is better set up to meet our needs (and to challenge the systems that don't).
