About the Office

Welcome to the Present Beings office! Established in 2024, this wildly queer suite is accessible, spacious, and welcoming. It offers everything needed to provide in-person sessions for gender expansive clients and practitioners, including groups!

Best of all? The stellar price.

Take a virtual tour of the space.

Building amenities:

  • ADA Accessible (covered ramp, single story)

  • Gender neutral bathroom; toilet equipped with support bar

  • Quiet hallway and comfortable waiting room directly adjacent to the Present Beings suite

  • Heating and Air conditioning, year round

  • Funky old-Portland charm (the building was originally a grain processing distributor!)

Primary space offers:

  • Large room tastefully curated for gender-expansive clients and providers

  • Impressive natural light from large windows

    • Note: office floor is slightly raised from street level, allowing comfortable anonymity when drapes are wide open

  • Two heavy-weighted couches

  • A generous and cozy therapist chair

  • Four additional wood chairs for enactments and groups

Other cool stuff for you and your clients:

  • Art supplies (paper, pens)

  • Body care tools including massage balls, a Thera-Cane, and a foam roller

  • Fidgets galore

  • A well stocked tea station and mugs

For therapist use:

  • A desk and laptop riser, for telehealth sessions

  • Self-stable storage in the kitchenette

  • Plates, mugs, and silverware provided

  • Daily use of refrigerator and microwave

  • Instant coffee

Included with your sublet:

  • Private wifi network

  • Masks (including KN95s) and air purifier provided

  • Paper products provided (toilet paper, paper towels)

What’s it going to cost?

  • The monthly amount you’ll pay is based on how many days per week you want to use the space. The rates are: $200/1-day; $300/2 days; $400/3 days; $500/4 days.

  • We are also offering weekend rates of $125/day for one day and $200/day for both Saturday and Sunday.

This sounds too good to be true — what’s the catch?

The building is not without its quirks! For example, we are responsible for taking out our trash once a week (Fridays) to the adjacent trash and recycling room, and are required to wash our own dishes daily. We are down the street from Foster and a nearby strip club (Portland much?). None of these have stopped me or the many clients from coming to love (and heal in) this nurturing oasis.

Why are you subletting now?

Due to changes in the CareOregon billing structure, I am joining a group practice part time. Regrettably this means more than half of my clients will be seen at their office, but I want to maintain my office for my private practice use. As things stand currently, that leaves 4.5 workdays available for sublet to providers who want to sign a 6 month lease with me.
